Fostering
If adopting an animal permanently is not for you, you should consider
acting
as a foster home for an animal. A foster home provides a
temporary home for
an animal in need. It not only provides space
at the shelter, but it gives the animal a better chance of being
adopted.
Once a pet has been in a home
environment, the shelter and the foster care program can give a
better description of the animal's behaviors and habits.
This will
enable the Shelter to make a better match between a potential
adopter
and the pet. The interaction between the foster family, their pets
and the foster pet is crucial to the eventual placement. We want
to place
the foster pets in the most suitable permanent homes and
you can help!
