A Special Message Dear Friends of Animals: We would like to take the time to thank everyone who has contributed to our $10.00 Crusade. This appreciation comes from the bottom of each of our hearts. Thank you! So many of you have helped us with our quest and have asked us about our progress. The total donated to the $10 Crusade at this time is approximately $18,000.00. This total is fantastic, but as you can see on our progress thermometer, we still need many more $10.00 donations to help us reach our goal for a new adoption facility. V.V.H.S. is like so many other places trying to build. Prices have risen and what was once quoted at 1.2 million dollars came back with bids of 2.6 million dollars. We have made drastic cutbacks, changed materials and have even "roughed in" areas that were once going to be complete. What we didn't give up was any space for the animals. With the new changes being made we will be going back out to bid in the very near future. Time is of the essence, as costs continue to rise. As you know, Cottonwood and the rest of the Verde Valley are rapidly growing by leaps and bounds. This means more people, more homes and of course more animals. This new facility is needed to take care of the animals that are already brought in by record numbers on a daily basis. Expansion is crucial and space is at a premium. Please don't make us take lives simply because we are out of space. These animals deserve a chance at a better life than what they have had. They deserve an opportunity to be adopted and be loved like our own animals. If you haven't contributed to our cause, please help us now.
