The Verde Valley Humane Society is your local non-profit organization that works in partnership with the community and Law Enforcement Agencies to align the needs of homeless, stray, abandoned and abused animals. We are an IRS certified 501(c)(3) non-profit, which means your donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Our goals include making the community aware of the unwanted animals in this world, what happens to them and what they can do to help. We work to strengthen our relationships with the various jurisdictions, law enforcement agencies and the public. We strive to be responsive to the needs of the ever-changing community.

Yes, at this time we are asking you to make a personal contribution to our cause. This is your Humane Society, come be a part of what we do.
Sure we need financial backing, but we are also looking for people to actually join our ranks in supporting and giving help to those who can't help themselves.
In what other ways can a member help the animals at VVHS?
- Walk dogs or pet the cats at the shelter
- Participate in our off-site adoptions
- Help on a committee in the planning and production of special events
- Volunteer at the shelter or our thrift store, the Good Buy Shoppe
- Come in and pay special attention to the animals. It's amazing what a few minutes out of your day can do for the morale of the animals and staff
The number one thing you will receive by becoming a member of the Verde Valley Humane Society is personal satisfaction. You will realize that you have helped the underdogs and cats of the Verde Valley.
